Michael Dennis Browne
Michael Dennis Browne's Selected Poems 1965 - 1995, published by Carnegie Mellon University Press, won the Minnesota Book Award for poetry in 1988. His previous book, You Won't Remember This, won a Minnesota Book Award in 1993. Since 1971, he has taught at the University of Minnesota, where he is a professor of English, former director of the creative writing programme, and winner of two Distinguished Teacher awards. The following poems are from Things I Can't Tell You, (Carnegie Mellon University Press, 2005).
